Top tier podcast, media, and speaking opps

Project Overview

Joe Alalou is Co-founder and General Partner at Daring Ventures. We created a deeply personal and differentiated story for his firm, sharing how his journey from washing cars at Enterprise to becoming an investment banker shaped his contrarian view of venture capital. We emphasized how Joe’s background isn’t typical VC pedigree, but how that’s the point. Instead, we focused on how Joe built a reputation for backing overlooked, underdog founders—and beat out 175 others for a spot in a hot, oversubscribed round led by a billion-dollar fund.

Project Execution

We developed a compelling, bold, and timely narrative for Joe and his VC firm and submitted him for leading speaking engagements and podcast interviews.

Project Results

We secured an NBC (47M views per month) podcast episode (Sand Hill Road) for Joe that shared an unguarded and spot-on take on venture capital, privilege, and the American opportunity gap. Joe also discussed why VCs fund the wrong people and why founders with great ideas should be able to raise capital—even if they didn’t grow up in Silicon Valley or attend Harvard. We also secured additional podcast and media interviews on VC.fm and Pitchbook.
